UN1TE, a hip hop dance company in Winnipeg, MB (est. 2005), has opened for acts such as Wow Wow Wee, Jabbawockeez, Super Cr3W, Fanny Pak, Supreme Soul, SoReal Cru and produces central Canada’s’ premiere hip hop dance competition, IN THE ZONE! UN1TE is designed to create a professional dancer/performer where they will have opportunities to perform in various live, paid and or volunteer perfor…mances throughout the year. UN1TE will help enhance the skills the dancers already have, focusing on style, technique and a professional feel. Whether you are an amateur, novice or seasoned performer, we invite you to come out to the annual company auditions. As a member, you receive intensive training, entertainment industry connections, discounted classes, local/national competitions and performance opportunities, and an experience to be part of a passionate and dedicated team.

Audition Process:

*Potential candidates are expected to learn 2 short audition pieces as a whole and then perform the selected choreography in front of a judging panel.
*We are looking for both junior (under 18) & senior (18+) age dancers.
*If you are selected, there will be a minimal semester fee of $30 / month. This will mainly cover studio rent, photo shoot, In The Zone, and other Un1te events! For this small fee you receive 3 hours of advanced hip hop training every week.
*Rehearsals are 1x / week (Tuesday or Wednesday night)
*Teams are mixed ages & dancers (returning & new)
*Whole season commitment is expected for fall (September – November) & spring semester (January to April)

This summer marks our 1 year anniversary of amazing classes from Winnipeg’s top choreographers & teachers. We would like to take this moment to thank each dancer and fan who has supported Un1te Dance Company’s wonderful history. From our seasonal classes, the Reprezent SoReal Cru Weekend to the latest In The Zone 4 Competition & Workshop, it has been an incredible and memorable year! We are excited again to bring you some of Winnipeg’s most exciting, energetic and freshest hip hop dance classes. This summer is extra special since we are returning to one of our very first studios, NAFRO in the Osborne Village. On March 10 – 15, 2010 Un1te Dance Company (Sr, Jr & Un1t3) will be traveling to Edmonton, Alberta for the national hip hop dance competition, Artists Emerge. This will be our 3rd consecutive time participating in this very exciting weekend. Company dancers are excited to compete and shop!
