UN1TE DANCE COMPANY (formerly known as Big Sky Dance Co.), a professional hip hop dance company and studio in Winnipeg, MB (est. March 2005), produces central Canadas' largest hip hop dance competition, IN THE ZONE, as well as a winter and summer show! 2008 - 2009 Dates (Venue: Pantages Playhouse) Dec. 13: Un1te Gives Back Concert! April. 3: In The Zone 3 Convention & Competition! Julne. 14: Un1te Production/Showcase! The faculty has local professional experience (Rainbow Stage & Royal Winnipeg Ballet). In addition to local and national competitions, we have been blessed to perform for various events and prominent venues such as the Lyric Theatre, Centennial Concert Hall and the MTS Centre. The members rehearse in a vast array of disciplines from ballet, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, hip-hop, African, ballroom to even contemporary. Their performance style and choreography has been known to be unpredictable, influential, creative and innovating, with routines to prove that the company promotes versatility in dance The company is blessed to have public studio classes as well as two strong performance teams that give a springboard and opportunity for young adults to continue their passion at a higher level. Lastly, we believe in developing not only great performers but also great leaders of tomorrow.
